Seek. See. Love. Do.

Hi! My name is Jayme. As a user experience designer, I strive to create interactive solutions using positive visual language to solve people’s most pressing problems, and hopefully make the world a better place.

I've been in program management and software engineering roles for the past ten years and I have an academic background in computer science and east asian art history. In my last role as a program manager, as I applied user-centered design to my work through quantitative research and usability tests, I realized there was a lot more to it that I wanted to get good at. Over time, I built up my design education from a combination of books, courses (online and in-person), startup weekend and a good dose of self-motivation.

I grew up in Singapore where I experienced urban design for community living spaces and preservation purposes on a constant basis. It has shaped my appreciation of the impact that design has on people’s lives and how good design is often taken for granted. For design inspiration, I love the immediacy of Bauhaus, the discipline of Swiss and the purity of Japanese design. I get myself out of a design rut mostly by seeking pleasant diversions; such as taking a walk with my dog, checking out my pinterest/twitter feed, or participating in casual banter with like-minded friends.
